March 9th, Dublin, Ireland: KantanMT has announced that it has appointed Jim Nolan as its new sales and business development manager. Jim took up his post at the end of February. He will be responsible for business development for the KantanSkynet technology platform. KantanSkynet delivers always-on, scalable translation services. It leverages the capabilities and cost efficiencies of machine translation fused with the power of a global community of professional translators.
Jim has been active in sales and business development for over two decades, holding positions with several successful companies. These include Softech, DML, The Repro Centre and Prinks.com. Most recently Jim served as a regional Manager in the Dublin-based Innovation Enterprise Network (IEN).
IEN was established in the post-Celtic Tiger era by the Dublin Regional Authority and was tasked with engendering a mutually supportive network amongst job seekers, qualified professional and sole traders. Jim found the challenge it presented as an exciting and fulfilling time in his career. His duties involved a promotional role, as well as organising and delivering motivational talks and giving courses on business topics such as Start Your Own Business, the Art of Business Presentations, and other essential business management skills.
Jim is a keen amateur athlete. He is a committee member of the Drogheda & District Athletics club and has served a two-year spell as club captain. While he has completed three full marathons, these days he limits himself to running 5k and 10k distances around the roads of county Louth. Jim is welcomed as an experienced and clearly energetic addition to the KantanMT.Com team.
